English Dub Review: Bluelock “Just the Way It Is”

Overview:

Each player unleashed their weapon and ego, and Team Z caught up to a draw. They totally have the momentum of the game, but that has “awakened” Team V’s monster, Nagi. In the chain reaction to awakening, Isagi also learns to use his weapon and keeps fighting. The “heat” generated by the clashing of egos from both teams starts to affect Kuon as well.

Our Take:

I knew that Kuon would come in the clutch to help Team Z but I didn’t think he would do it in the way he did. Straight up tackling a dude and getting a red card and having to leave the game? He basically screwed himself so that only a Team Z win will allow him to move on. Personally, even if he had a change of heart and wanted to “win” with this team it made no sense for him to do that but what are you gonna do?

I love watching football games and in this case, I am talking about American football. Mainly because I am a huge fantasy football fan and get invested pretty easily. But I turned the game off to watch this episode and honestly I might have been more into it than any real game I watched this year. I felt like I was watching a real game with all the twists and turns that happened I was invested. Bluelock is getting a second cour which I didn’t know about and if you aren’t already watching then you NEED to be. This is one of the best sports anime I have ever watched and we still have a lot left.
