News & Bits: New Series From Trippie Redd & Stone Cold Steve Austin In Development ; No Go On Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season Two
Netflix’s fantastic Cyberpunk Edgerunners is NOT getting a second season, but not because of Netflix. Rather, the series’ producer Satoru Honma in an interview with Famitsu that was then translated by Video Game Chronicles says that the series was meant to be a one-time deal, and that he’s more interested in producing other anime series that we could see in the future.
Here’s our review of the first season that will probably make a bunch of our year-end lists.
Comedian Dan Soder has teamed up with WWE Legend Stone Cold Steve Austin for a new animated series that has already been sold to Peacock, but WWE is holding up the release of the series because they want to be the ones who produce it so it’s been in development hell for 17 months. Here’s a clip of comedian Dan Soder talking about the show in a recent episode of KFCRadio.
I want everyone to tweet at @WWE and @peacock today and tell them to cut the shit, figure out the logistical nonsense, and release the cartoon @DanSoder made with @steveaustinBSR. The people want the Stone Cold/Soder Art! They are standing in the way of entertainment greatness

Rapper Trippie Redd has teamed up with Carl Jones to develop a new anime series. No word on where or when the series will premiere, but a big collaboration that could bring with it lots of fruit.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
