English Dub Review: Spy x Family “PROJECT APPLE”
Overview:
The Forgers go look for a dog for Anya’s reward for getting a Stella. In the middle of their outing, Loid ends up having to work on a mission to stop a terrorist bombing attack planned against Westalis’s foreign minister. Meanwhile, Anya is trying to pick out a dog, but then sees a vision of her family when she randomly reads the mind of a giant, mysterious, white dog. Anya becomes curious and chases after the dog, but she ends up accidentally wandering into the hideout of the terrorists!
Our Take:
In a surprise drop by Crunchyroll, we got the first episode of the second cour of Spy x Family. This is one of my favorites of the spring and I was eagerly awaiting its return. All the characters are as charming and hilarious as ever. Anya is back as her cute and goofy self and it also looks like we might be getting another member of the family sometime soon. A dog is likely to join the Forger family and wouldn’t you know that it seems to have some crazy power as well? Nothing quite like a dog that gets premonitions of the future and if you can read minds like Anya that could be pretty helpful.
The second I saw the villain of this arc, Keith, I thought “That looks like a character that Clifford Chapin would voice” and guess what? He definitely does, and man it is always a joy to hear him. Not to be outdone, Natalie Van Sistine and Megan Shipman picked up right where they left off as Yor and Anya respectively. If you just want to have a good time I definitely recommend you watch one of the best anime of the year, Spy x Family.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
