English Dub Review: Orient “A Vow”
Overview:
Musashi has unlocked a portion of the Obsidian Goddess’ power. But even if he manages to defeat the Kishin-powered Yataro, will he be able to save Michiru from her father’s machinations?
Our Take:
This is going to be a tough episode to review. On one hand, I know that subjectively this was a decent episode and set things up really well if we ever get a second season. But unfortunately, for me, it committed one of the greatest sins I have seen in anime since I watched Gurren Lagann. I know that not everything or everyone is going to get a happy ending and what this has going for it over the previous show I mentioned is that this isn’t the end of the whole thing. But that scene with Michiru gave me some PTSD and I got really sad at how this ended.
Ultimately, it was a good fun episode. The main fight was over a little too soon but I suppose that’s what happens when you go Super Saiyan. After that, we got a lot of setup for things but I have no clue if we will ever get to see those things come to fruition. What I do know is that this show was an amazingly pleasant surprise that I didn’t think I would enjoy and I look forward to going over it in the season review.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
