English Dub Review: Classroom of the Elite “The worst enemy you can meet will always be yourself.”

Overview:

The aftermath of the gymnasium incident plays out as Christmas brings romance to the school.

Our Take:

If this wasn’t already confirmed to be getting a second season I would be so pissed right now. But luckily for us, we are already getting that! I do kind of wonder if every season is going to end with some profound revelation by getting to listen to Ayanokoji’s thoughts. I suppose I should have known better but I was really starting to think he might just legitimately like Karuizawa. Nope… Everything even down to how she got caught and tortured was exactly what he planned on.

Hopefully, somewhere down the line he begins to become a little bit more human and stops looking at ALL people as just pawns in his game. Only time will tell on that front but as for this episode, I was a little confused. Ayanokoji went on a date with Sato that turned into a double date with Karuizawa and Hirata. What I don’t understand is that I thought everyone knew that their relationship was a sham but maybe I was wrong. Either way, the characters in this are fantastic and I am looking forward to what Ayanokoji can do in season three.
