English Dub Review: Cardfight!! Vanguard will+Dress “Deluxe Commences”

Overview:

Danji receives a message from Michiru, who challenges him to a match.

Our Take:

I still have next to no idea how this card game is played but it still feels like a lesser version of Yugi-Oh! to me. I wasn’t even a fan of that so you can imagine how much I’m enjoying this. But at least some of the characters seem interesting. And while I can’t recognize many of the VAs they are making a good impression so far.

There is a big tournament that looks to be starting next episode. It is an interesting dichotomy between the two groups we have. One is a school club that is seemingly playing for fun and the other is a professional tournament. Something tells me that some people from the former will get pulled into the latter. But I suppose that is something we will find out later.
