English Dub Review: The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated! “The Great Jahy Can’t Bathe!”

Overview:

To do Druj a favor, the great Jahy agrees to give a speech. This is a good opportunity to make the extent of her power known, but Druj ruins it by stealing the show again and again. After that, Jahy is invited to a party and is overjoyed as she relives the lavish excesses from the Dark Realm. However, once it’s over, she is taken over by loneliness and pain. Jahy renews her vows to restore the Dark Realm.

Our Take:

Nothing like bringing someone in to speak to your employees and then not letting them talk. If that was how Druj was in the Dark Realm I can kind of understand why Jahy was an asshole to her. Nothing is more frustrating than someone asking for help and insisting it is done exactly how they want it done. Just do it yourself at that point, but to be fair Druj did make it up to her later.

Before that, though Jahy needs a bath and goes to the bathhouse with her manager and landlord. There is a pretty big advantage to being able to transform at will for Jahy. Nothing like getting into places free because you look like a child. But then Jahy gets jealous of chest sizes and decides to go big or go home. Afterward, Druj throws Jahy a Dark Realm party, where everything is related to the Dark Realm. It doesn’t go super well as Jahy becomes homesick and reaffirms her vow to restore the Dark Realm. This episode was not nearly as fun as the ones involving the Magical Girl and others, we need more of them.
