English Dub Review: Saint Seiya: Battle for Sanctuary “The Skull Knights”

Overview:

The next battle is against Virgo Shaka, but the Bronze Knights have to face his army of skull knights.

Our Take:

Seiya’s battle with Aiolia is over and the Bronze Knights advance to their next task. Meanwhile, Scorpio Milo confronts Aiolia for his betrayal. He fights Aiolia with the intent to kill him until the grandmaster stops them. We also get to see some backstory on Marin.

The main point of the episode is the fight between the Bronze Knights and Shaka’s skull knights. Shaun and Long cannot defeat them, so it’s up to Seiya.

I’m noticing how useless the other Bronze Knights are when Seiya is around. When they’re fighting alone, they can hold their own and defeat their opponents. When they have Seiya to rely on, they seem to be fighting at half of the effort. That’s the case with plenty of Shounen anime, but I still don’t really care for it.

The designs of the skull knights are cool, but the actual fight is just so-so. I’m sure Seiya will make quick work of them in the next episode.

Error happened.
