English Dub Review: Saint Seiya: Battle for Sanctuary “Reflections”

Overview:

Mu, Aldebaran, and company arrive at Star Hill. There, they have to battle their own reflections.

Our Take:

Seiya beats the skull knight. Alright, now that that’s out of the way, let’s move on to the main plot of the episode. The group led by Mu and Aldebaran make it to Star Hill. Mu says they will find someone controlling Sanctuary at the summit.

Mu and Aldebaran fight versions of themselves and win. Meanwhile, Marin sees a memory of Seiya’s sister. This further leads to the intrigue if this is her. At the end of the episode, Genet and Kiki come across Daedalus.

The fight between Seiya and the skull knight felt pointless to me. It was short and it was obvious how it would turn out, so there was no tension. As for the rest of the episode, it was decent. I’m indifferent on the characters involved, so I’m not that interested in their fights. The one thing I am curious about is if Marin is actually Seiya’s sister. We don’t get a clear answer here, but I hope that comes up soon. Also, Daedalus is dead. I’m not sure if this is really him or an illusion, but I’m sure that will be cleared up in the next episode.
