English Dub Review: Orient “Leaving Your Mark”

Overview:

Shiro’s unique powers are enough to overwhelm an entire group of Bushi by himself. Does Naotora really stand a chance?

Our Take:

Naotora is definitely a Bushi leader I can look up to. I can see why his subordinates believed he would get the job done. But what was even more exciting was that he won without using any of that “power of friendship” BS we often see in things like this. Though I do have a feeling something is up because they went into some other dimension and we didn’t exactly see him defeat Inukai so that does leave me a bit worried.

In other good news, we finally saw Michiru again and Musashi is on his way to save the day. So next week’s episode will be a lot of fun. We got some excellent character development from others and saw some good old-fashioned shounen fights. But I want to get back to Musashi and see him continue to grow because that has definitely been where this second cour has shined.
