English Dub Review: Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer “Hekatombaion and the Beast Knights”

Overview

The members of the Order of Knights begin to train altogether, to improve their teamwork, and right away they already face a great threat.

Our Take

The first half of the episode was spent training and team building. It’s good to let us spend more time with the Knights since there are some we’ve spent no time with at all. With them all heading into this fight against the seven-eyed golem we need more investment in them. This is what the early parts of this episode do well.

Having a fun day at the beach spending time together on vacation waiting on the seven-eyed golem to appear as the Knights bond and see them all together having fun after such an emotional story from the last episode. During the proceedings, things get intense. when Animus sends the seven-eyed golem after the Knights while snatching Yuuhi and Samidare…

Overall, while I was a bit thrown off by this feeling like an obligatory “beach” episode, it wasn’t completely worthless or out of place. Surprisingly, the animation was fine in this episode. Just fine. I’d say the issue was some missing sound effects from the fight scenes. I wish we could see more feats from both sides. It doesn’t help that they don’t seem to fully explain everyone’s abilities.
