English Dub Review: I’m Quitting Heroing “I’ll Save the World, Even If That Means Destroying It”

Overview:

The only ones who can save the world from the hero are the Demon Queen and her four generals!

Our Take:

This was definitely the best episode so far. The emotions and characters are finally starting to settle in. I’ve never heard Joe Daniels before but this was his best episode as Leo by far. When the hero becomes the villain, it can be hard to match that in voice, but not for Joe. Maybe he should be playing more villains. You could feel the suffering he was going through but he also wasn’t listening so I felt the same frustrations as the rest of the group.

The animation was top-notch in this one because we got to see what a fully unleashed Leo can do.  It was also sad to see what he could do because he was tossing around characters I’ve grown to love like they were nothing. That is the kind of build-up we can expect in a show like this. With three to four episodes and an OVA left, I am wondering where it can go but I am excited to see it. Next week will hopefully be less heartbreaking.
