English Dub Review: Don’t Hurt Me, My Healer! “This episode features even more female guest characters hot on the heels…”
Overview:
Carla accidentally frees Medusa and the party comes face-to-face with her. The dryad then comes to supposedly fight Medusa.
Our Take:
Alvin and Carla find the crystal ball, but Alvin’s sword is still missing. Not only that, but Carla’s crystal ball is shattered and so is Medusa’s seal. She is now free and turns Alvin to stone multiple times, but he keeps breaking free.
The dryad locates them and says this would be the best time for her to defeat Medusa. Naturally, this never actually happens. Instead, she wants Carla to deal with Medusa who delegates it to Alvin. Then it turns into a weird fetish confession. After all of this, the Dryad tells Alvin of a sword he may be able to use. He pulls it out from the ground and it turns out to be a dud. The fetish thing continues when Carla casts a spell on Alvin that temporarily causes him not to feel pain.
Later, the girls have a tea party. Medusa and the dryad are randomly friends now and they ask Carla why she goes adventuring with Alvin. She insults him and then says she has fun with him. Alvin comes in, but he didn’t hear what Carla said. The other try to tell him, but Carla obnoxiously interrupts them. God forbid she says anything nice directly to Alvin, even though she already has a couple time before.
This episode is stupid. I like the designs of the new characters, but can’t stand their personalities. The show keeps running the same tired tropes into the ground and it’s just as annoying as always. Again, there are a couple of funny moments, but the show is beating a dead horse with the unfunny ones. The latter always weighs down the former and this is no exception.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
