English Dub Review: The Devil is a Part-Timer! “The Devil Screams in Sasazuka” “The Devil and the Hero Go to the Amusement Park as Advised”

Overview:

Maou and company face their usual budget crisis while Emi and Suzuno attempt to have a conversation next door. It’s the same old, same old… except that today, they sense an ominous presence. Before long, a bloodcurdling scream will rend the night.

Maou, Emi, and Alas Ramus have an eventful day at the amusement park. Meanwhile, their three stalkers do their not-so-great best to blend in.

Our Take:

This anime is the reason I never give up on my favorite anime getting a continuation. I am pretty sure it was five years between seasons. A few shows go that long between seasons but with how popular and how much love has been shown to this and Classroom of the Elite I hope we don’t have to wait that long for more. Assuming we don’t go through all the content that is, which I don’t think we will.

I had heard of there being a child in this series that thinks Maou and Emi are her parents I just didn’t think it was going to be second-season material. Now I’m even more excited for this sequel! I didn’t expect a two-episode drop from the gate but I can see why they did that. Wanting to get the full set-up for Alas Ramus. I am really looking forward to the next episode to see a family outing. This season is primed to be great! Welcome back Maou!
