English Dub Review: Orient “The Uesugi Band”

Overview:

Musashi, Kojiro, and Tsugumi meet up with the gathering Uesugi Alliance in an effort to learn more about Kojiro’s father. But with a battle against the Kishin of Awaji Island looming, the assembled forces might not be in the mood to indulge outsiders…

Our Take:

This is already leaps and bounds better than the start of the first cour. I really think this will be a lot better just based on the first episode. Plus more Michiru can’t be a bad thing and I am glad she and Musashi are reunited, even if they aren’t in the best predicament right now. A few new characters were introduced but the ones that stuck out were the leader of the Uesugi Alliance and one other.

They stuck out more because of their VAs than anything. One was voiced by Kaiji Tang and the other was Aleks Le and it is typical characters for those two. They are super talented voice actors and I hope that their characters have a big role in this arc so I can hear them more. Based on first impressions though I don’t think that will be a problem. I just hope Musashi survives next week.
