English Dub Review: I’m Quitting Heroing “Tokyo, 2060 A.D.”

Overview:

People are more than their jobs. Long ago, an unexpected friendship set Leo on the path he walks to this day.

Our Take:

The world-building in this show is fascinating to me. Though I am a sucker for a good twist, having the world be our world from the future is a goodie no doubt. My biggest issue with anime like this is that it seems like things just start to get exciting and then it’s going to end. Sure we have an OVA that still needs to be dubbed but I doubt that will have an entire season’s worth of content in it. I just want to know how Leo became who he is, that might come to fruition next episode but we’ll see.

As for this episode, it was really cool seeing Leo start to become more “humanized”. I wouldn’t go so far as to say he was a robot but he definitely isn’t human. Leo has a lot more personality now and I am fascinated to see how he got there. This series has finally started to intrigue me and I have even begun to look into the light novels. I have a serious manga and light novel addiction so this is the last thing I needed.
