English Dub Review: Classroom of the Elite “The material has to be created.”

Overview:

At the start of the second term, preparations for the sports festival begin. The students are nervous about the fact that performance in the events will affect their written tests, and even more, pressure is added by the unique team breakdowns and freedom given to the students to decide who takes part in what event…

Our Take:

Ayanokoji holds back a lot I think. Just once I would like to see how OP he is because he manages to just hit the average for a grip strength test. But it was by choice! He figures “Oh I just want to look average so I’ll do this” it’s bonkers. It is just crazy to me, when will we see peak Ayanokoji and what would that mean for the rest of the class?

I think the reveal played out in season one is so interesting about Ayanokoji as a character. Sure, he is the main character so we assumed there was more to him but I thought it would be in a good light. No, this guy might be the biggest scumbag at this school, and in a school full of scumbags that’s saying something. I’m just worried about the collateral damage that is going to ensue from this arc. Sure every anime has a school festival arc at some point but this is Classroom of the Elite so I’m sure it will be messed up somehow.
