Unscripted Isekai Shows Up Again For Latest Episode Of “Catfish” Featuring IMVU

This isn’t the first-time Catfish: The Show has done an episode featuring IMVU, as they did one a couple of seasons ago, but last night hosts Kamie and Nev returned to the VR world for another case of missed connections between Charles and Nikki.

This couple originally met on IMVU with Nikki proceeding to give the run-around to Charles right up until the end. Unfortunately, Charles gets more than he bargained for when he learns of Nikki’s secrets.

Whatever the case, we get another case of unscripted isekai, this time ahead of the HBO MAX premiere of We Met In Virtual Reality which similarly shows couples meeting on another VR platform called VRChat, though with much happier endings. Regardless, unscripted entertainment via animation is a burgeoning scene and one of which we will continue to keep an eye on.
