English Dub Review: The Daily Life of the Immortal King “The Giant Frog: Triple Killed by Wang Ling”

For cultivation prodigy Wang Ling, defeating a demon king at age 6 is nothing compared to fitting in at high school. And now with supernatural threats on the rise, Wang may have to put his magic studies on hold to save the world!

As far as donghua (Chinese anime) goes The Daily Life of the Immortal King is up there on my list of ones that I wanted a dub to. It just looked really interesting, and Crunchyroll going back to dub it is exciting. I hope they dub the second season as well.

I kind of want to go back and watch the original now just to see if there was as much fourth-wall breaking in it. There was a lot here and if it was just the dubbing studio taking creative license that would be a bit disappointing. If it’s part of the show, however, that would be awesome. When Wang Ling walks up to a demon king and his response is “Wait! I recognize this background music!” you know we are in for some fun. The runtime of the episode was a little short which was disappointing but it definitely left me wanting more.
