English Dub Review: The Daily Life of the Immortal King “Dignified Run for Chief of Class”

Overview:

Wang Ling helps Sun Rong, but unbeknownst to her, it’s all because he knew what her original plan was.

Our Take:

I’m a little disappointed with how short these episodes have been. This show has fun and unique characters and honestly, Wang is really interesting. Sure a lot of the ideas aren’t exactly new but as long as they’re presented well then that’s really all that matters. The animation of Wang’s face in one scene, in particular, had me rolling. I really hope more donghua’s get dubbed because they have officially won me over.

Overpowered high school life is nothing new but this seems to be focusing more on the high school life part. I love slice-of-life stuff and this feels like it will lean heavily on that. Speaking of, you all know how much I love romance and was it just me, or does Sun have a thing for Wang? Sure it might be that spell he accidentally cast on her but it never hurts to hope. This seems to be more of a comedy than I expected but the humor has been so good that I am more than okay with it.
