English Dub Review: Shadows House “Those Newly Come of Age”

Overview:

One day, sometime after the incident in which Edward kidnapped Emilico, the Star Bearers call out the living dolls in the middle of the night. Barbie tells them that a suspicious figure in a robe has been seen in the great hall. The first thing Barbie does is become suspicious of Emilico, and Emilico tells Kate all about it.

Our Take:

It seems to be the season of sequels this summer. This was one I was really looking forward to because I reviewed the first season and it left me wanting more. The first episode of this season did the same. It wasn’t bad but this is definitely the in-between bit.

A new character named Susanna was introduced and it sounded like she was voiced by Jad Saxton. The jury is still out on whether she will be a friend or foe but she’s definitely interesting. It also seems like we are going to learn more about soot powers and if I’m not mistaken we might get a training arc coming up as well. Shadows House intrigued me before and there is just enough sprinkled in this first episode to perk my ears up.
