English Dub Review: Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon “A Never-Ending Future”

Overview:

The feudal era is saved from the Degenerate Age. Inuyasha helps repay Moroha’s remaining debt. Towa and Setsuna receive kimonos from their mother, Rin. Towa, Setsuna, and Moroha accept a demon-slaying request from a mysterious man.

Our Take:

This was the season finale but they definitely left things open for more and there better be more. The main plot has been resolved sure but there is more fun that could be had in this world. I will admit that I am more interested in seeing Hisui and Setsuna’s relationship evolve but that might just be me. This series seems to have a big undercurrent of romance so it’s not completely out of the question.

I just know how beloved this series and the old-school characters are and it would be a shame if it were to end here. We didn’t even technically need this series after all so finding more stories in this series isn’t out of the realm of possibility. When I do the season review you’ll see my full thoughts but right now I am a bit melancholic about this series.
