English Dub Review: Tomodachi Game “The Third Game Is Over!”

Overview:

Finally able to shake his Group K guards, Yuichi succeeds in delivering food to Tenji. After being pushed off the cliff by Yuichi, Maria slowly gets closer to her saviors Hyakutaro and Chisato, but that too is a trap set by Yuichi to destroy the friendships in Group K.

Our Take:

Nothing gets teenage boys riled up quite like a pretty girl right? Hyakutaro can’t help but want to be the prince charming for Maria. So much so that he’s willing to switch teams, which means Yuichi wins hands down right? Well, it turns out the captain wasn’t exactly calling all the shots like we thought and Group K had their own mastermind.

Things don’t look like they’re going well for Group C at the moment. My idea for how he was going to turn the tables on them didn’t go as I thought so there only seems to be one option. We will see if that comes to fruition next week. I really love this one and as far as survival games it manages to keep me on the edge of my seat too. Sure it has its tropes and occasionally predictable outcomes but most shows do, so it all depends on presentation. And the presentation here is top-notch.
