English Dub Review: Spy x Family “THE COUNTER-SECRET POLICE COVER OPERATION”

Overview:

Ostania’s counterintelligence agency and national security bureau conduct spy hunts and keep surveillance on its citizens to maintain peace within the country. They are also called the Secret Police and are feared. Yor’s younger brother Yuri actually belongs to the Secret Police and is hunting down spies while keeping this a secret from Yor and others around him. One day, he suddenly shows up at the Forger residence. The Forgers, who are full of secrets, and Yuri, who has a secret identity, come face to face!

Our Take:

We finally get to spend some extended time with Yuri, Yor’s little brother. I haven’t found any confirmation yet but I’m pretty sure he’s voiced by Dallas Reid. Assuming that is him, he does an amazing job, he brings this siscon member of the secret police to life.

Yuri really is dumb whenever it comes to his sister. When he asked her why she didn’t tell him about her marriage all she said was “I forgot!” and he bought it! But Loid better watch out because Yuri is looking for Twilight and that means trouble. Will Loid and Yor kiss? Typical romcom instincts tell me no but with this who knows.
