English Dub Review: Tomodachi Game “Seriously? That’s So Cringe”

Overview:

Responsible for the theft of the class funds, the application to play Tomodachi Game, and the exposure of all kinds of dirty secrets in Bad-Mouth Sugoroku, Tenji now tries to alienate Shiho from the others so he can have her all to himself. As a result of his attempts, a rift develops between Shiho and Yutori that threatens to destroy their friendship. But while Tenji is busy sweet-talking Shiho and planning his next move, a “special chance” appears for Shiho that might change the direction of the game.

Our Take:

It is really interesting how fragile your relationships can be with a bit of adversity. I think Yuichi has something up his sleeve though and that’s what I watch these types of anime for. There is always the one character who thinks they’re smarter than everyone but gets outdone by the person they underestimated. So yes it’s a trope that we expect BUT the way it gets executed can be oh so good.

Tenji has become relentless in his goal to isolate Shiho. He is saying whatever he needs to and when Yuichi slaps her he thinks he’s won but like I said I don’t think that’s the case. I have no idea what Yuichi has planned but I am really excited to see what happens next episode.
