English Dub Review: Saiyuuki Reload: Zeroin “The Sanzo Party”

Overview:

Ukoku sets ally against ally. The question isn’t if friendship can overcome adversity, but who will remain standing when the dust settles?

Our Take:

The Sanzo Party is a fitting title for this episode because it seems like everyone is now united. They argue like family and seem like brothers so I guess they weren’t going to be separated and angry for long. I still don’t know a lot about these characters’ relationships or how they met but anyone could tell they have a strong unbreakable bond.

The thing about this anime is I was pretty lost almost the whole time but still managed to enjoy myself. Which I think says a lot about this series. Still very frustrating but that’s kind of how long-running series go. For what it’s worth I think that this anime’s job was to get people interested in the series as a whole and I think it succeeded there. I would like to go back and see how everyone met and how these bonds were formed. I got a few more thoughts I would like to gather before I do the season review but I think this was at the very least an enjoyable anime to spend time with.
