English Dub Review: Love of Kill “Worst”
Overview
17 years ago. Ryang-Ha Song was assisting Donny when he takes in a boy who was being chased. A job Donny gives him leads him to another fateful encounter…
Our Take
So from what I can gather, the imposter Ryang-ha’s backstory with the REAL Ryang-ha Song, this was the moment when he was an unknown teenage boy who was part of a child trafficking syndicate and smuggled into the country, and at the same time when Chateau’s father “Liszt” was running away from Donny’s henchmen executing his assassination, hiding away young Chateau from his control. And true enough, both Ryang-ha’s manage to find Chateau hid away in the suitcase, which raises the question, how the fuck could that little girl even breathe in a suitcase for that long??!
Predictably, they’re not out of danger yet because two assassins just so happen to be out in the wild trying to look for her. And given the circumstance they’re all in, the two have no choice but to look out for her. Of course, the unnamed boy didn’t give his name out to Ryang-ha, which the real boy helps look out for a place of lodging as their temporary safe house. At its core, the conversations between the two Ryang-ha may come across as confusing at first yet it remains compelling. Given the real Ryang-ha’s fate to be half-assed as compared to the imposter’s decision-making, and given what happens at the end with the major life-changing decisions that were made, everything begins to come full circle…
Overall, while not perfect, this was quite a wild flashback episode in terms of revelations, including a new credits sequence that adds more context. So many things were cleared for us, and we the audience were given much back story as well. Though it’s a bit odd to see a little girl at Chateau’s age that be capable enough to pick up a gun and know how to use it, I think anything can happen if humans are in a state of extreme panic and fear. Now that we know what Chateau possibly knows, I can’t wait to see how the finale goes after this!
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
