Our Take

For the first episode, much of the humor is focused on Lincoln and his circle of friends who are part of the local school news team have been getting 1-upped by the actual news team which raises suspicion of who could possibly be the leak that’s been one step ahead of them. Of course there’s some careful foreshadowing on who it is. But in a weird way, the twist itself rewards on repeat viewings.

As for 2nd one, this time around we have another Lisa-focused episode. With a lot of the humor mostly relying on Lisa’s pride and arrogance being her own worst enemy when Lisa’s eyesight isn’t at it’s best and is put into a situation where she tries to fix the problem herself learns the hard way that even she sometimes needs help. Its also the first appearance of a new character named Dr. Tran (voiced by Page Leong) who is possibly first “Thai” character introduced in the Loud House’s universe.

Overall, both episodes were quite fun and passable. with the first one relying on a twist that part of me saw coming a mile away in regards to the kid-news team being 1-upped by an actual news team and shows that the news lady isn’t as malicious as the kids perceived her to be. While the 2nd half reminded us, and I’m saying this as an observation, that there’s often this recurring theme in regards to the way Lisa is often written. That despite being a child with a genius-level intellect, she doesn’t always have all the answers and is herself a flawed character.
