English Dub Review: Spy x Family “PREPARE FOR THE INTERVIEW”

Overview:

Yor moves in with Loid and Anya. Now that they are a family, they need to prepare for the interview. But Loid realizes with how Anya and Yor currently are, the interview probably won’t go well. In order to make sure they all understand how an upper-class family should be, Loid decides that they should all go out as a family. They go to the theatre and a museum, but it’s just not clicking with Anya and Yor. Twilight begins to lose hope, but…

Our Take:

What I love about this anime is how you have the cute little slice of life moments but some fun little action moments get thrown in for added spice. The Forger family has their first outing (Or “noting” as Anya cutely calls it) and it goes pretty well. Other than Yor being enamored by knives and paintings of death. But when a purse snatcher ruins the trip what is everyone going to do to hide their abilities? Well, it will be hilarious have no doubt.

I am really loving the family dynamics in this one and they are nailing the characters as I imagined them. Another fun episode with lots of hijinks, and there was even some fun world-building. Anya is definitely a popular character this season and it’s easy to tell why.
