English Dub Review: Love of Kill “Confusion”
Overview
Chateau leaves herself with Jinon and his associate, Nikka, in order to carry out her operation. Meanwhile, both the boss and Jim are put in danger…
Our Take
Damn, Chateau’s team does love surviving near-death experiences. For instance aside from their boss surviving being shanked in the throat and somehow still able to talk, Jim seems like he gets unceremoniously shot in the head but it turns out to be something ridiculously implausable happened so he can arrive in time to get Chateau out. Maybe they’re just super lucky or relying on a lot of plot armor.
I also loved how Ryang-Ha gave himself up and hilariously the only regrets he has on his mind are both getting Chateau that blue dress and the date he hoped would happen with her, but it’s clear he has his priorities in check. We also get a bit of a flashback to her time in the back with a character with both a familiar yet shocking name that I’m surprised she hasn’t put the pieces together. We know she was kidnapped but “why?” should be the bigger question and how does this further tie into both her and Ryang-Ha’s past?
Overall, The Episode Was Good and compelling to watch, with the only flaw is how this show operates in terms of creating suspense. Unless someone has an explicit death scene, no amount of apparent mortal injury kills anyone. And given what we know about this newly revealed flashback, It’s abundantly clear that it raises more questions to answers in regards to how Chateau & Ryang Ha’s pasts are interconnected…
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
