English Dub Review: How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom “Away from My Hometown for So Many Years”
Overview:
Souma and the others visit the refugees, where they help an expectant mother with a difficult delivery. The newborn life provides hope and a foundation for the future to the refugees, but not all of them accept the future Souma presents them…
Our Take:
It’s just a little weird to see stuff like that, feels like they are stereotyping a group of people. Like caricatures of what anyone is actually like but it is also nice to see some representation of other groups of people. Souma and some others did manage to perform a successful C-Section so that was interesting. It freaked everyone out but now they have another way to make sure births are successful. Now Liscia wants to start trying and we once again have an anime protagonist who freaks out at the idea of being intimate, so annoying.
There was a lot of info-dumping and explanations of how politics with refugees work. It got a little wordy and boring especially if you aren’t interested in that type of topic. I actually am interested and still got a bit bored so I can imagine it’s not that enjoyable. I still like where this is going and like the characters but we got some issues too.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
