Indie Watch: World of Wonder Launches “Why R Humans” ; FutureDude Intros “Parallel Man” ; Bin Scabbin New Episode

Check out an all new series from World of Wonder (the creators of RuPaul’s Drag Race), Why R Humans? This four-part series is an absolute trip following in the footsteps of cult-classics like Rick and Morty and the absurdist adult comedies on Adult Swim. The series premieres on 3/30 at 12pm PT.

The apocalypse has come, the humans are dead, and a sentient slot machine, lamp and jackhammer are all that is left to piece together the mysteries of the 21st century human existence! To make sense of their makers, the robots delve into ancient video chats of human celebrities sharing slacious stories of sex, love, and money leaving the robots to ask themselves in an all new comedy series from World of Wonder, Why R Humans?

Series co-creator Ron Hill said, “People often think of editors as shy computer goblins with no social skills who should never be allowed in front of a camera. And that’s absolutely true.” Co-creator Jeff Maccubbin added, “World of Wonder will soon realize their mistake.”
“These dum-dums forgot to mention the show is about talking mechanical objects,” groans Jackie, the aptly named talking Jackhammer.
Executive Producers Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato said, “We got into TV to break the rules, and Why R Humans? delivers on that and then some. Ron and Jeff are creative innovators and iconoclasts, so it is an honor they are augmenting our lineup of WOW Originals.”
Here’s a first-look clip of the series dropping later today.

FutureDude Entertainment hopes this animated short for Parallel Man will turn into a three season/30-episode animated series in the future. The short stars John Cho, Ming-Na Wen, and Lance Reddick that follows the adventures of Nick Morgan who treks across other dimensions to escape from being captured. Check out the new short to get a glimpse of this mesmerizing world.
