English Dub Review: The Genius Prince’s Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt “The Prince Who Would Sell His Kingdom”
Overview:
Try as he might, Prince Wein can’t seem to fail. He wants to sell off his kingdom and disappear, but his brilliant decisions keep getting in the way. After he gets the empire to fund and train his troops, a string of victories only complicates things.
Our Take:
Now, this? This I like. This is funny, with just enough seriousness to keep it interesting. What’s even more refreshing is that so far it seems to be just straight fantasy and not another isekai. Not that I have anything against isekai mind you, I love me some isekai and will almost always watch the new ones of the season. But having a legitimate fantasy setting is few and far between lately.
I love the characters so far. Wein is a master of failing his tasks successfully. His hope was to just barely lose a battle and sue for peace. But turns out he just so happens to be a master strategist and crushes the enemy. Not only that but he keeps pulling off victory after victory. I can only imagine that when all is said and done he might be the head of a mighty empire and it will be entirely by accident. We only have one episode and I already love this show and think Dallas Reid is a great fit as Wein. One more thing. Ninym best girl of the season, fight me!
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
