English Dub Review: She Professed Herself, Pupil of the Wise Man “I Get Naked!”

Overview

Mira heads to the Primal Forest for Solomon’s project. Afterward, she runs into a strangely wary man, who mistakes her for a spirit…

Our Take

As Mira travels onward with new territory to explore, this time with a Cat-Sith as navigator to find some seeds for Solomon while fending off monsters. Cat-Sith aside from making terrible meow-puns mostly works as an NPC at best. And this whole adventure is like a standard fantasy/adventure RPG. Being taken by this blue flower beast to the exit, and that was a rough one, but the exit to put it mildly is just literally like a water slide but in nature leading to an awkward and uncomfortable scene where she has to skinny-dip to proceed.

Of course, she was faced with other obstacles that involved hand-to-hand combat which was easily one of the few positive highlights when encountering some Ninja-looking dude. Though the motivations behind why the Ninja person was coming after some of these forest spirits is yet to be explained.

Overall, aside from some action and a few wholesome moments involving cute animals here and there, I feel like all those plots and stories without some sort of end-goal have only one purpose, to get Mira naked in some grossly contrived ways when it isn’t making jokes about urination. Also, Mira doesn’t seem to be very conscious of her body. Even after she first encounters that Ninja dude, she doesn’t even try and cover herself up. I know it’s a dude in what appears to be a preteen girl’s body, but it’s also something I can completely do without…
