Watch: Akaash Singh Defends “Apu” On Recent Episode Of Joe Rogan Experience

Joe Rogan’s been in a bit of hot water recently with some of his episodes. Whether it’s going on an anti-vaxx tear or dropping N-bombs, it caused Spotify to remove 100 episodes of it’s most watched podcast which can’t be helping the host’s value on his $100 million contract. In any event, Joe recently had stand-up comedian Akaash Singh on the show talking about Akaash’s new special entitled Bring Back Apu. 

Turns out not only does Akaash think it’s ridiculous that “Apu” was unceremoniously canceled, so does Joe Rogan, which begs the question, where will this episode rank on Spotify’s complete objective scale of what’s considered racist or controversial? One thing the streamer can’t afford is to drop any more episodes or upset the bee hive known as The Simpsons ardent fanbase, most of which also want to see the return of “Apu” despite the character’s subject being discussed in the feature-length doc The Problem with Apu.
