Exclusive: Comedy Central Gets Into “Cancel Culture” Conversation In Tonight’s “Fairview”
Comedy Central’s Fairview is getting into “cancel culture” tonight. More specifically, whether or not an artist’s content is subject to “cancellation” if that artist is part of unsubstantiated accusations. Contemporary examples include Marilyn Manson, Kanye West, and others, though in Kanye’s case at least he got free tickets for the Super Bowl.
In any event, here’s a full preview with an exclusive clip for tonight’s episode that features “Sammy Sugar” who was just canceled. Check it out below with an episode synopsis:
Fairview doesn’t cancel their anthem “Baby Let’s Rock” even though its musician Sammy Sugar faces harrowing accusations. Meanwhile, Breckman becomes a magician in hopes he’ll be considered too talented to cancel.

Synopsis:
“Fairview” is a half-hour adult animated series about how national politics causes wild small town drama in the Natty Light-chugging, grocery store parking lot-fighting, public urinating town of Fairview through the lens of its sloppy party girl turned pragmatic mayor, Kelly Sampson.
The series features voice talent from Marina Cockenberg, James Austin Johnson, Aparna Nancherla, Jeremy Levick, Blair Socci, Graham Techler, Atsuko Okatsuka, Otter Lee, Carl Foreman Jr, Jack Bensinger, Lisa Gilroy, and Joey Romaine.
“Fairview,” produced by CBS Studios, will be in partnership with the talented team of “Stephen Colbert Presents Tooning Out the News” (Paramount+), recently Emmy-nominated for Outstanding Short Form Comedy, Drama Or Variety Series and “Our Cartoon President” (Showtime).
The show is created and executive produced by RJ Fried with Stephen Colbert, Chris Licht, Tim Luecke, Kim Gamble, Mike Leech and Zach Smilovitz as executive producers. Grant Gish is the Executive Producer with Co-Executive Producer Sachi Ezura and Supervising Producer Michael Stanger for MTV Entertainment Group.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
