English Dub Review: The Duke of Death and His Maid “Together with the Duke…”

Overview:

The Duke’s mother summons him to the main residence and gives him an ultimatum. But the Duke has something to tell her as well…

Our Take:

What a finale! I would have to knock off a little from the score if there was no second season but one has been announced so we’re good. The reason I would have to knock some off is there wasn’t really any progress or conclusion to any of the problems in the show. Well… maybe that isn’t fair because there was a little progress and it was pretty badass at that.

Seeing the Duke stand up not only to his mother but also calling out how aristocratic society operates was a sight to behold. Also huge shoutout to Clifford Chapin for his performance. It was very powerful and I even shed a few tears. I am really going to miss this show. It definitely made up for the disappointment of The Detective Is Already Dead. I really cannot wait to do the season review of this one and for the second season to come out.
