English Dub Review: She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man “I’m a Dress-Up Doll!”
Overview
Mira and Solomon work on the clues Mira brought back on Soul Howl. They also come across clues hinting at the presence of some of the other Nine Wise Men.
Our Take
This time around we have something close to a “filler” episode, but nowhere as tedious and serves an actual purpose. In a nutshell, after Mira reports the recent shit she experienced in previous episodes, Solomon begins to act like a troll and has her maids forcibly dress her up in different outfits just as the title implies but at least it gave me a chuckle here and there.
Between that time within the Alcait Castle Solomon is given some undecipherable text that needs translating that Mira also collected during her adventure. But some of his servants later share a story not only about some danger they encountered but also a new character who’s now introduced as one of the “Wisemen” that’s a practitioner of Kung Fu. (or “Immortal Arts” as it’s called in this show’s universe.)
Overall, this episode didn’t offer anything completely new other than a new character down the line and a new goal for Mira to have in future episodes to find the other Wisemen. I assumed she’d be out on another adventure but it’s mostly dialogue and flashbacks of something she wasn’t involved with other than sending out a Black Knight creature she summoned to help the miners as a bodyguard before encountering that aforementioned “danger”, but at least it was mildly entertaining.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
