English Dub Review: Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon “Battle on the Moon, Part 1”

Overview:

Moroha learns about the Full Moon Raccoon Dog and Takechiyo’s exile. The snow demon Yukinyudo attacks Setsuna. Zero targets Towa on the new moon.

Our Take:

I think it’s really interesting how Setsuna has never had to deal with losing her powers on the new moon. I think it will come more into play in the next part of this arc but it’s going to be cool I think. I’m usually not a fan of two-parters but if we get to see more interesting stories like this I don’t mind.

We also got a flashback to Kagome and Inuyasha defeating Shogun the first time. Since I haven’t watched Inuyasha I don’t know if this was in the show and they are just re-showing it or its new content. But for fans of the old show if it’s new I bet that is really cool. Nothing beats getting more content of your favorite show and characters right?

The next episode is going to be pretty good I think. A showdown with Zero and I think we will get more of Hisui in action. I think I have mentioned how much I like Hisui and I think he and Setsuna might be a thing before too long. That might just be hopeful thinking from me though.
