English Dub Review: The World’s Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat “First of Dates”
Overview
While Lugh is practicing his magic on an uninhabited island with Tarte, Maha shows up with some information. Civil war has broken out in the Swoigel Kingdom. Concerned, Lugh visits Dia, but the region of Viekone is peaceful. Dia is indifferent to Lugh’s concerns and suggests they go on a date.
Our Take
This time around, we got an episode with a date, swimsuits, and all around, fun in the sun rather than the usual grim assassination missions this show is sort of known for at this point. Yet despite Lugh technically still training with the time in his hands. He’s the type of guy that doesn’t slack off. It’s kinda expected that Lugh would go and find Dia, but his plans surely didn’t account for the date with her, which he gladly obliged either way. The date that has Dia all excited for her time with Lugh, she’s just basically on cloud nine, while the Goddess reveals another person she somewhat recruits to achieve her goals…
Also, Dia was looking good with disguised hair and a red dress that made her look almost like Aerith Gainsborough from Final Fantasy 7. It was cute to see them spending time with each other. From toys to an actual hot spring where they shared their one and only kiss, all she ever wanted was to protect the people under her well-being.
Overall, that cliffhanger at the end of the credits was quite interesting as it’s sprinkling the proceedings with lots of potential foreshadowing and red flags for future storylines. The changes in attitude in the last minutes of the episode showed how serious the situation was, and with two more episodes left, I’m having a feeling that this episode was the calm before the storm.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
