English Dub Review: Restaurant to Another World “Roast Beef/ Cheesecake Again”

Overview:

After Rorona attains her dream of joining the Black Brood, she stumbles upon a mysterious door in the woods. Hilda visits Nekoya with her fellow mercenaries, Ranija and Alicia.

Our Take:

I would definitely say the first half of this episode was way better than the second half. Rorona has just recently become a member of the Black Brood which is her world’s way of describing vampires. What was even more interesting was that there were other vampires at the restaurant when she went. But they had different versions of what vampire culture was like and I really thought that was cool.

Not only that but we got some backstory on Kuro, the telepathic elf. Or at least I thought she was an elf but turns out she’s a dragon?! Oh and she doesn’t like violence in the shop, like really doesn’t like it. Now it could have been revealed she was a dragon before and I just hadn’t seen it. I haven’t seen the first season before so it’s possible.

The second half was alright and did have the first action scenes I have seen in this show. But the best part of this episode was without a doubt the vampires and the roast beef. I would love to find a restaurant that serves roast beef like that.
