English Dub Review: The Faraway Paladin “The Goddess of the Divine Torch”

Overview:

The “God of Undeath” Stagnate’s sudden appearance catches the three undead off-guard. Although his attempt to abduct Blood and Mary is interrupted by Gus, the black mist bursting from his chest leaves them no time to feel relieved. Will is unable to do anything as Stagnate says to him with a fearless smile, “It’s all thanks to you.”

Our Take:

Mannnnnnnn this is getting really good. I cannot wait to see where this goes when Will eventually (hopefully) gets out into the world. The worldbuilding has been really good up to this point and I think expanding it further will just make things that much better.

The only thing I’m not a fan of so far is the cliffhangers. It has been two weeks in a row and I am struggling with them! But for those to be the only negatives is a pretty good thing I think. The only other tiny negative is that the fight scene in this episode wasn’t as well animated as I was hoping it would be. It was flashy and there were some fun quirks to it but there was a lot of stock image use.

Will is an interesting protagonist too and I am excited to see where his journey leads. He has had a lot of growth in just four episodes and I am a huge fan of character development. This show has been a lot of fun and I really think it is just going to continue to get better and bettter.
