English Dub Review: Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation: “Slow Life in Doldia Village”
Overview: Rudeus (Madeleine Morris, Ben Phillips) and Eris (Lindsay Seidel) come to learn more about Ghislaine’s (Rachel Robinson) past life in the Dedoldia tribe.
Our Take: A slow life in Doldia Village equates to that of mending and building bridges that is anything but mundane.
With all the long and intrusive trekking across the Demon continent Rudeus, Ruijerd and Eris have been up to, one would not be remiss to forget the connection that Ghislaine and the Beast Tribe share. Ghislaine has always been a point of pride for Eris, being a strong role model and teacher for her. With that in mind, it’s especially heartfelt to see how she strives to make Gyes, Ghislaine’s brother and her niece, Minitona understand that. Not to mention how mature Eris has become in how dignified she handles her conflict with Minitona and shows Tersena to be proud of her originality, one that mirrors her past self.
Even Rudeus, although not at the forefront this time around, still gets some shine in the little moments in between Eris tutelage with Minitona and Tersena. He is shown to be understanding of Ghislaine and that one is capable of change from who they used to be. A lesson, similarly to Eris, that he can relate to on a personal level. Gyes is also able to get some developing moments in teaching his daughter to not live with the same regret he felt with Ghislaine and finally understanding who she is through his short but sweet bout with Eris and making amends. A perfect moment of using action, not words to explain. One that is equally sweet to look at with both of them having their own unique stylized movement before one brief slash. A sentiment that also extends to the training sequence with a lot of cool 3D dimensional looking movement and panning during Eris and Minotina’s sword clashing. With Geese joining Rudeus and the gang as they head off, a new band of strong opponents is introduced, in the lore of the world, in that of the Seven Great Powers. Beings that are even mightier than Ruijerd and no doubt heading for an eventual collision course with Dead End for an incredible conflict.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
