Tuca & Bertie creator Lisa Hanawalt has confirmed that the upcoming third season has officially completed the writing phase and is expected to premiere sometime in 2022. Until then, Tuca & Bertie will have a January 2022 bow on HBO MAX, you can read our review of the show’s second here.
Synopsis:
Tuca (Tiffany Haddish) and Bertie (Ali Wong) are best friends and they’re both full of ghosts! Bertie is excavating her inner ghouls with the help of a therapist, while Tuca prefers to stuff hers behind the toilet. She’ll deal with them later, right now she’s too busy trying not to be single anymore! Meanwhile Speckle (Steven Yeun) is building a new house and he’s driven to the edge of sanity so many times, it’s a good thing he’s just a cartoon. This season of TV demonizes geese and romanticizes seagulls! You’ll never look at plants the same way again!
Tuca & Bertie is created and executive produced by Lisa Hanawalt, with Raphael Bob-Waksberg, Noel Bright, Steven A. Cohen, Haddish, and Wong also serving as executive producers, The series is produced by Michael Eisner’s The Tornante Company and the animation will be done at Shadowmachine.
Venture Bros. co-creator recently grammed from his profile to let everyone know that the upcoming Venture Bros. special is still in production, and that Shore Leave is expected to make a return. Adult Swim says this about the upcoming feature-length special expected for release sometime in 2022, The Venture Bros.: “Doc’s latest invention will either bankrupt the Ventures or launch them to new heights, as Hank searches for himself, Dean searches for Hank, The Monarch searches for answers, and a mysterious woman from their pasts threatens to bring their entire world crashing down on them. The Venture Bros. is created, written and executive produced by Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer.”
The upcoming special will be released direct-to-DVD before later being made available on HBO MAX which is where all seasons of the show had been made available since late last summer.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
