AniDom News: “The Simpsons” Post Trailer For Upcoming Two-Parter ; Exclusive First-Look At Sunday’s All-New “The Great North”
FOX delayed Animation Domination premieres for a week to accommodate for the World Series and November 7th is return date for all of the originals which includes new episodes of The Simpsons, Family Guy, The Great North, and Bob’s Burgers. The Simpsons kick off a two-part episode with Ned Flanders at the center that also features a bevy of guest stars including Brian Cox (Succession), Cristin Milioti (Fargo), Chris O’Dowd (State of the Union), Timothy Olyphant (Justified), Jessica Paré (Mad Men) & Joe Mantegna (Criminal Minds). When Ned Flanders finds a bag of money and donates it to a local orphanage, he lands himself, and a very jealous Homer, in the crosshairs of a ruthless criminal debt collector who will stop at nothing to get it back. Sex, violence, pretentious needle-drops and superfluous flashbacks abound in this awards-thirsty attempt at prestige TV, on the all-new two-part episode of The Simpsons, “A Serious Flanders.”
Show Synopsis:
The longest-running primetime scripted show in television history, THE SIMPSONS exploded into popular culture in 1990 and has remained one of the most groundbreaking and innovative entertainment franchises, recognizable throughout the world. HOMER (Dan Castellaneta), MARGE (Julie Kavner), BART (Nancy Cartwright), LISA (Yeardley Smith) and MAGGIE are instantly identifiable television icons. Rounding out this cast of characters are many beloved Springfield residents, including tavern proprietor MOE SZYSLAK (Hank Azaria) and nuclear power plant owner MR. BURNS (Harry Shearer). The Emmy Award-, Annie Award- and Peabody Award-winning animated comedy will begin its 33rd season this year. The premiere episode will be a Broadway musical-inspired episode with all original songs. Kristen Bell makes a guest appearance as Marge’s singing voice. Additional upcoming guest voice stars this season include Rachel Bloom, Timothy Olyphant, Cristin Milioti and Brian Cox.

The Great North also features a murder mystery at the center of things. In the new episode entitled “Skidmark Holmes Adventure” that premieres this Sunday Night @ 830 pm ET/PT, Judy’s murder mystery party doesn’t go exactly as planned and Alyson invites herself on a date with Beef. Synopsis:
THE GREAT NORTH follows the Alaskan adventures of the Tobin family, as a single dad, BEEF (Nick Offerman), does his best to keep his weird bunch of kids close – especially his only daughter, JUDY (Jenny Slate), whose artistic dreams lead her away from the family fishing boat and into the glamorous world of the local mall. Rounding out the family are Judy’s older brother, WOLF, (Will Forte) and his fiancé, HONEYBEE (Dulcé Sloan), her middle brother, HAM (Paul Rust), and ten-year-old-going-on-fifty little brother, MOON (Aparna Nancherla). While their mother is not in the picture, Judy seeks guidance from her new boss, ALYSON (Megan Mullally), and her imaginary friend, ALANIS MORISSETTE (guest-voicing as herself), who appears to her in the Northern Lights. Bento Box Entertainment serves as the animation studio on THE GREAT NORTH.
THE GREAT NORTH is a 20th Century Fox Television production. The series is created and written by Wendy Molyneux, Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin and Minty Lewis, who also serve as showrunners and executive producers. BOB’S BURGERS creator Loren Bouchard also serves as executive producer. Animation is produced through Bento Box Entertainment.
