English Dub Review: The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent “Saint”
Overview
Still unable to replicate her lifesaving conjury, Sei continues her training–then stumbles into an argument between Liz and Prince Kyle about her Sainthood. Aira makes a new friend…
Our Take
So where do I even begin with the plethora of twists that’s happened? As expected, everyone wants Sei’s assistance in the holy alchemical countryside. And if Hawke’s gonna go there, Sei wants to tag along with him to Klausner’s domain because of course, she wants to learn more. Sei is basically the saint now, after her show of powers and her peaceful life has seemingly turned upside down, no thanks to Drewes.
Also, shit got really tense with Kyle and his father. He comes off as an asshole at times, but to put it mildly, his true intentions really play with audience expectations at this point. It was also refreshing to see all three girls finally in the same room together. which helps break the monotony a bit of this borderline reverse-harem thing Sei had going on.
Overall, while the animation is nothing cutting edge or revolutionary, quite the opposite, to me it seems most appropriate for the fantasy setting of this story while giving Aira the freedom she deserves. Some might think that Kyle was redeemed, but in my eyes he’s still a prick and could’ve handled Aira’s situation in a different way, but it is what it is…
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
