English Dub Review: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: “The Congress Dances”
Overview: Ramiris (Jad Saxton) discusses with Rimuru (Brittany Karbowski) what Clayman’s (John Burgmeier) plans are for him and his nation, as Tempest forumulates some of their own as new details are unearthed.
Our Take: Ramiris’s warning about the downfall of Tempest is finally addressed after being put to the backseat during the Tempest’s meeting with Dwargon and Sorcerer’s Dynasty Sarion. Clayman calling the meeting of Walpurgis feels like the plot is finally starting to make some momentum towards the impending confrontation between Tempest and the demon lord’s forces and while there are still some ironing out of plans left to go, hopefully the pre-planning doesn’t begin to drag on too long where it becomes detrimental to the pace and anticipation of the imminent threat looming in Clayman, Malim and now his strongest subordinates in the Five Fingers.
Although with that being said, the various plans set in motion in this episode do indeed give Rimuru some much needed power. They also do not feel as if they are decisions that are all for naught and without consequence in the long run with Dwargon and the Sorcerer Dynasty Sarion banding together with Tempest to put pressure on Lord Clayman. Besides that, Youm and Diablo on a potentially years-long mission to Falmuth to “free” the war prisoners also shows the beginning of Rimuru’s cunning strategic maneuvers in having Youm rule Falmuth. It ends with a nice curveball in Eurazania being the target of Clayman and his army, rather than the Jura Tempest Federation, that yet again hammers home the weight of tactics and decision making throughout. With Clayman getting the jump on Rimuru by attacking Eurazania instead and earlier than he had thought and if the past few episodes are any testament, how the slime will proceed to adapt and counteract will be a part of the future excitement along with huge fights to come.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
