This Week In “The Simpsons” Fan-Made: Hit and Run In 4k ; Working Version Of TV

Youtube user reubs has uploaded a video showcasing The Simpsons: Hit and Run remade in 4K resolution. Not only that, but he actually goes out of his way to show you how he did it and really it’s quite astonishing that he was able to get a fully-functioning workable demo in a week complete with a FPS camera view.

While the producers of The Simpsons are heavily in favor of a remake of the classic game, there is no reboot currently in the works for The Simpsons: Hit and Run. Until then, this will have to do.

Reddit user buba447 designed and 3D printed a fully-functional replica of the famed television set from The Simpsons. The set comes fully equipped with the first eleven seasons that play episodes at random, functional nobs that can adjust volume/change channels, and it doesn’t even use internet to do all of this so if buba’s power ever goes out, at least he’s got a decent television to watch until his power turns back on.

The set uses a raspberry pi zero chip set that is running the Jessie Lite OS. An SD card was used to store the episodes that had been compressed to fit the screen and the resolution already looks better than the first eleven seasons of The Simpsons streaming on Disney+.
