English Dub Review: The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent “Awakening”
Overview
Unable to keep her mysterious powers under wraps, Sei meets with the Grand Magus to determine if she is the Saint. The King of Salutania calls Sei to court…
Our Take
As expected from the previous episode, Sei’s healing the patients’ news spread like wildfire and she has already been called for appraisal by Grand Magus, Yuri Drewes. He instantly found out that Sei is not an ordinary girl. She even has greater power than Yuri himself. The results of that were surprising, to say the least. When compared both Aira and Sei have remarkable abilities. And while it was nice for the King to apologize for his son’s previous behavior, at most, he shouldn’t have to given that his son should be mature enough to do it himself.
The scene with Hawke was great. Pretty typical of her to not really want anything but eventually she realized that she might be able to get a tutor/guide to access the forbidden section of the library. It should be interesting to see what sort of spellbooks she finds, as has chosen to advance her skills in potion-making.
Overall, I thought we were in for an information-heavy world development for this by-the-numbers Isekai with some romance on the side. Instead, her nerdiness is just there as a plot device to explain progression, which has also got her to put her in good the graces of some “Gorgeous Guys”. At the very least, Sei has really grown to love this world, its people, and her work so good on her. As for the false Saint, it looks like other people want her to be the saint more than she wants to be herself. Using her as a puppet essentially. Looking forward to seeing that plays out…
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
