Disney+ Debuts First Clip For Marvel’s What If?
The first of nine episodes for Marvel Studios’ What If? is slated to premiere on August 11th only on Disney+ and we’ve got a sneak peek clip of the episode “Steve” which sees Haley Atwell reprising her role as “Peggy Carter” who, in this case, is “Captain Peggy Carter”, a What If? scenario that sees Peggy Carter take the super soldier serum instead of Steve Rogers who is sporting familiar armor. As you may can tell, Chris Evans does NOT reprise his role as Steve Rogers.
In fact, several characters, such as Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, and Carol Danvers, would be voiced by a different actor than those who portrayed them in MCU films. Dave Bautista, who portrays Drax in the films, indicated that he was not asked by Marvel to be a part of the series, despite the character being included in the series.
Marvel’s What If? could become the start of a comic book animation arms race between Disney+ and HBO MAX, with the former rumored to be getting a Ryan Reynolds starring Deadpool series and the latter potentially getting an animated series inspired by DC’s Elseworlds.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
